Facilities
PURPOSEFUL SPACES THAT SPARK JOY, CURIOSITY AND BELONGING
We have excellent facilities and resources within our characteristic Victorian building and expansive grounds; our learning spaces have been designed to stimulate and motivate our children.
Purpose Built Nursery
Our brand-new, purpose-built nursery has been thoughtfully designed to support the earliest stages of learning and development. Every space is carefully curated to spark curiosity, nurture independence, and foster a sense of security. Children benefit from high-quality resources, natural light, and seamless access to dedicated outdoor learning areas. It’s a warm, welcoming environment where young learners thrive from their very first day.
Outdoor Spaces
Outside, there are highly imaginative spaces such as the Wild Place where children can observe wildlife down in the pond as well as up in the trees. When not observing, we like to ensure children take an active role in the care and welfare of the school pets - our chickens and quails - and maybe earning an egg from our feathered friends as a thank you. Our outdoor space has so much to offer our children and community:
Forest School
Forest School is a unique method of outdoor learning. Our aim is to encourage and inspire children through positive outdoor experiences. Children will have the opportunity to:
- learn about the natural environment
- handle risks within the boundaries of safety
- use their initiative to solve problems and cooperate with others
- use full sized tools and light fires
- establish and grow in confidence and self-esteem and become self-motivated
- develop a growing awareness of their emotional needs and the needs of others
We trust that encouraging children to develop a relationship with the natural world will develop an interest in the great outdoors and respect for the environment and help in protecting the environment for generations to come.
Dedicated Learning Spaces
Inside school, we have three halls (for dining, sports and, after a conversion, our library), mobile technology that includes class sets of iPads or Chromebooks, two sensory rooms, which provide quiet and energising spaces for children, several small rooms for targeted intervention and small group work, a therapy room, a music studio and, for Reception and Year 1, an additional shared ‘middle room’ accessible from the two adjoining classrooms.
New for 2025/2026
In the spirit of continual improvement and our drive to make things even better for our children, this year will see the development and opening of:
- a brand new school library
- an art studio
- a DT workshop
